The Old Course

St Andrews

The oldest and most iconic course in the world. The Swilcan Bridge and Hell Bunker are recognised across the globe. Despite the grand status of the Old Course it remains a public course, open to all.

Royal Troon

Troon

The 8th hole at Royal Troon, the ‘Postage Stamp’ is one of the most famous par-three’s in world golf. It was recently voted Scotland’s best par 3.

Gleneagles

Gleneagles

Gleneagles boasts three stunning 18-hole Championship courses – the James Braid designed King’s and Queen’s courses and the Jack Nicklaus designed PGA Centenary which hosted the 2014 Ryder Cup.

Ailsa

Turnberry

Set along the glorious Ayrshire coastline with Arran and Ailsa Craig as stunning backdrop, the Par 71 Ailsa Championship course is one of the finest golfing destinations in the world.

Rosemount

Blairgowrie

The Rosemount course at Blairgowrie is one of numerous ‘hidden gems’ dotted across Scotland. Wherever you want to play Scotland’s a treasure trove of golfing diversity to suit all tastes.

Carnoustie

Angus

Carnoustie will host it’s eighth Open Championships in 2018. It’s also one of three courses to annually host the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Loch Lomond

Argyll & Bute

Loch Lomond Golf Club is one of the world’s top private members clubs set in a stunning location in Argyle & Bute. It was the host course for the Scottish Open between 1996 and 2010.

Royal Dornoch

Sutherland

The Championship course at Dornoch was ranked the fifth bestcourse in the world by Golf Digest Magazine in 2016. Many believe it would feature on the Open Championship rota were it not for it’s remote location.

Nairn

Highlands

Nestling on the shores of the Moray Firth this traditional Scottish links hosted the Walker Cup in 1999 and the Curtis Cup in 2012.

Muirfield

East Lothian

The East Lothian links is privately owned and home to The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. Old Tom Morris designed the course in 1891 and it has hosted 16 Open Championships.

Kingsbarns

Fife

Golf at Kingsbarns dates back to 1793 but the existing Championship didn’t open until July 2000. The course is one of three which plays host to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Western Gailes

Ayrshire

Located in Irvine, Western Gailes has been played by some legendary players including Harry Vardon and Gene Sarazen. Gary Player, Tom Watson, Tony Jacklin and modern day greats such as Rory McIlroy and Bubba Watson have all tested their mettle over the famous links.

Castle Stuart

Highlands

Castle Stuart is on the banks of the Moray Firth around 6-and-a-half miles from the Highland capital, Inverness. It has hosted four Scottish Open championships, most recently in 2016.

Balcomie Crail

Fife

Enjoy stunning coastal views from this traditional classic links course designed by Old Tom Morris and opened in 1895. It boasts the unusual combination of three par fives, six par threes and nine par fours in a challenging par of 69.

North Berwick

East Lothian

Golf has been played over the historic West Links since 1832. It provides breathtaking views of the Firth of Forth and the islands of Bass Rock, Craigleith, Lamb, and Fidra.

Prestwick

Ayrshire

Prestwick is the original home of the Open Championship concept. The first ever Open to find the ’new champion golfer’ was held on the course in October 1860, playing 12-holes a day over three days. The club annually staged all the Opens upto to 1870.

Machrihanish

Mull of Kintyre

Situated on the Mull of Kintyre, the 18-hole Championship course at Machrihanish boasts stunning island scenery. It also has one of the toughest first holes in golf with the rounds opening shot required to carry the Atlantic ocean!

Kingarroch

Fife

Kingarrock is the only Hickory golf course in the United Kingdom. Established in 1924 the 9-hole course is based in the National Trust for Scotland’s stunning Hill of Tarvit Estate in Fife.
